Fire at POMBERGER Goisern
On 16 January, a fire broke out at our premises in the area of a computer-controlled production machine. The fire alarm system sounded and alerted several staff members, who in turn notified the fire brigade.
On 16 January, a fire broke out at our premises in the area of a computer-controlled production machine. The fire alarm system sounded and alerted several staff members, who in turn notified the fire brigade.
Emergency crews advanced into the heavily smoke-filled hall with several breathing-apparatus teams. They fought the fire while ventilating the hall at the same time. Before long, the fire had been extinguished.
Our special thanks go to the emergency crews of the St. Agatha and Bad Goisern fire brigades, who were on site with a total of 5 vehicles and 33 firefighters, responded skilfully and prevented things from getting worse.
As only a small area of the production hall was affected and only one machine burnt out, the hall is being cleaned quickly and production itself will be back up to full capacity within a few days. The offices, the warehouse, dispatch and all other departments were not affected by the fire and remain fully operational as usual.
