POMBERGER Goisern was founded in 1984 by Johann Pomberger and is a family business in its third generation. Since 2015 the company has been organised as a GmbH, with Johann’s son Hans Peter Pomberger and his grandson Jürgen Pomberger as managing directors.
International breakthrough
With the in-house brand Johann von Goisern — combining the founder’s first name and the company’s location — POMBERGER Goisern established itself internationally. Since 2010 the company exclusively manufactures under this brand. Exports have grown to roughly 70 % of production since then.
Location and team
Around 40 people develop, produce and distribute eyewear frames at the Bad Goisern site in Austria. In addition to the Johann von Goisern brand, POMBERGER Goisern carries selected partner brands for the specialist optical trade: Luxol 19.69, NOS Eyewear and Zeeland.
